It took my husband an hour to assemble. Straightforward. It seems sturdy and holds a single mattress well. There are two shelves and two cupboards which are about a third of the bed in depth. The bed has an open end to allow for a a den or extra storage- there are very few cabin beds which maximise this storage space.

Really lovely kids bed, well impressed. They love the cubby hold underneath. Only improvement would be to make this accessible at both ends, as we could only put the bed one way round in the room.
